Tablehurst Farm

Raising Young Farmers is based at Tablehurst Farm in Forest Row, East Sussex. Tablehurst is one of the UK's pioneering biodynamic community farms, established in 1995 as a community-owned initiative. Biodynamic farming goes beyond organic — it treats the entire farm as a self-sustaining living organism, working with natural rhythms and cycles to produce food in harmony with the environment.

The farm is home to a diverse herd of cattle, pigs, chickens, and goats, alongside extensive market gardens, orchards, and woodland. Everything on the farm is connected: the animals provide manure that enriches the soil, the soil grows nutritious food, and the hedgerows and wild areas support biodiversity. Children experience this holistic approach first-hand, developing a deep understanding of where food comes from and how we can care for the land responsibly.

Nestled in the High Weald of East Sussex, just outside Forest Row, the farm's beautiful setting of rolling fields, ancient woodland, and productive gardens provides an inspiring and ever-changing environment for children to learn, play, and grow. Families travel from across East Sussex and beyond — from East Grinstead, Crowborough, Uckfield, Tunbridge Wells, and further afield — to be part of this special community.
